Long shaft outboard for 13' inflatable???

I have the chance to trade my standard shaft 1983 15hp Johnson for a 1999 25hp Johnson Long shaft. Will a long shaft outboard work on a 13' inflatable??? The boat is a Nissan nx126 with inflatable keel. Boat will take up to a 35hp, but nothing about shaft length. Thanks in advance! -=B=-

It takes a short shaft.

Will need to add a central 5" transom mount to match 20" engine in order to work perfect, if not, will have excesive water splash, more tail drag against water flow and top speed lose.
