I went to the lake today for the first time in about a month. At the end of the day, I opened the sunpad and reached in to turn my battery switch to OFF. I happened to look down next to my trim pump and there is this 'STUFF' - lots of it covering less than a square foot - but still nasty. At first glance it looked like battery corrosion. Upon further review it looks like it might be some kind of mold or something - sort of whitish/gray - no smell or anything. I was in kind of a hurrry so just battened everything down and figured I'll address it later in the week - planning to go up on Wednesday. Unfortunately I did not think to take a picture until I was on my way home. I checked the other side and everywhere else I could look but could not find any more of this stuff. Any thoughts on what it is and how to get rid of it. I'm thinking if mold - use diluted bleach. Thoughts?? Thanks.

You're thoughts are mine. Probably growing on something that will become visible when you bleach it.

pics would help, but nothing suprises me anymore. When we were shopping, I lifted the hatch on one boat to find a very clean, neat and orderly engine compartment - with one exception - the giant 14" mushroom growing from the deck
