looking at 1993 sea ray spitfire 5.7 v8

Boat looks great. Very clean spotless moter. Int super clean. Consignment lot its at HAS THE WORST BBB REPORT IVE EVER SEEN UNDER INVESTIGATION BY SEMINOLE CTY SHERRIFF. Anyway had a few boats but never had v drive what should I look for there. they will do comp test cold then again after 45 min test ride what are good numbers 94:1? what should the temp be? are there any tell tail noises I should look for with this eng. any info anyone can provide would be super. Im gonna call sheriff wed. taking ride thurs. Thanks
