Ok so I had a 2002 150hp EFI on my 21' key largo....first off the ECM went so I had to bypass that 700$ piece of equipment. Then the brand new water pump started having issues. It was changed and it still didn't seem to be cooling the motor. All in all the motor had a compression test done and with 30psi on all cylinders it was taken apart and found the two of the cylinder sleeves were warped. The motor is garbage and by two different inspections cannot be rebuilt without a new powerhead. The cheapest FULLY DRESSED powerhead I could find was 3850$. My mechanic found me a 1998 225hp carborated motor for 2000$ in which he did all the work on. Compression is perfect and motor is in wonderful shape. Any reviews/ insights on this motor would be greatly appreciated!!
