Well, I'm thinking of trading off my 2001 Bayliner Capri for a fishing boat like a Trophy etc...

Opinions?

What would you buy that would work well for part-time ocean fishing and local lake fishing.

I want a 20 footer, prefer tandem axle, Under $25K.

Thanks,

H.

I own a SEA OX

Nice well built boats. If you shop around you can find these boats around the Great Lakes for a good price. They are heavy stable boats per foot. I bought a CC230, 225hp on a bracket and a dual axel trailer in MI for $12000

TJ

Outboard powered center consols are the boat of fisherman's choice here in south Florida. I would look for a used quality well cared for rig which you should have no difficulty in finding under 25K.

Re: Looking for a fishing boat

i have a trophy w/a 1802, and the times i had it in the water i wished it was of the dual console design.
the cabin is great for the women, but takes up some fishing space. but then the storage is great.
it really depends on the fishing you do.

the open bow of the d/c & c/c are great advantages to have and you dont really know how much you will miss that til is gone. just a thought.
