Hey everyone,
I'm looking to find a swivel bracket for my '98 mariner 15hp. The serial # is 0G744734 and the sticker says its a '98 15ML. I'm not sure what the ML stands for or if it makes much of a difference, but I found the parts I'm looking for on boats. net but I was curious if anyone had any other resources to get one from some other place. I don't have much for boat salvage yards around my area. This is the link to the part that I need: http://www.**********/parts/search/Merc2/Mariner/15/0D281000 THRU 0G760299/Swivel Bracket/parts.html The main piece cracked last year when I was boating and it's right in the bend so it wouldn't be a good idea to weld it with that joint there. I've also attached pictures just to show where it's broken. Anyone got any helpful places to look?20140316_150003.jpg20140316_145938.jpg

Wow, that motor took a hit.

The ML means manual start, long shaft.
Should not be pertinent for the parts you need.

You can find the parts at any Mercury dealer.
Looking for cheaper, try ebay.

Yeah, it's definitely broken lol. I've found a part on ebay that's similar, but it doesn't have the part for the tension on the swivel. There's a little knob that you push left and right that makes it harder or easier to swivel the motor back and fourth. Probably not necessary, but it's a piece that I'd like to have.

Perhaps you can use the tensioner from the broken bracket.

Yeah I could probably use everything from the old assembly but I figured it would be easier just to get the whole assembly. I just ordered it today so I'll have extra parts around if it happens again lol
