Looking for a narrow slot toaster

I need a new toaster but all I can find are the extrawide slot toasters.<br /><br />I dont like those cause they only toast the outside of the bread, leaving the inside still mushy. I cant turn up the darkness to get the inside right cause this will cause the outside to get too dark.<br /><br />With a narrow slot toaster, the coils are closer to the bread and it makes the toast cook evenly.<br /><br />Any ideas, I cant find one anywhere.<br /><br />Thanks, Ken

Buy thicker bread?<br /><br />or, take to garage, insert into Vice, Turn until it is a narrow slot toaster.<br /><br /><br />and if all else fails, EBAY

Use homemade bread. Tastes much better anyway. Slice it thick.

I was looking at a toaster yesterday, with FM radio (WTF) why? got my last one at a yard sale still use it and only $5,,,,
