Re: looking for a windshield frame for my old sears fiberglass boat

Try & keep all your questions in 1 thread, it makes it hard to keep track of what has & hasn't already been suggested or what you've done when you ask the same questions in multiple places...

But as before:
Start by posting some pix from the bow, the stern, the side & showing some of the interior layout. It's probably not made by Sears, but made for Sears, by 1 of several manufacturers.

You will likely find it fairly expensive (before shipping to Bismarck) & difficult to find, hardware that might have been original to your boat.

Many boats, Starcrafts for 1 (which I think is 1 of the vendors that made Sears tin boats, glass maybe too), didn't come with any rigging or hardware from the factory. It was all installed by the dealer. So a 1954+/- Sears boat sold in ND may or may not have the same original rigging & hardware as the same boat sold in WV.

Pix are often MUCH more helpful in ID'ing boats. Paperwork may not be wholly accurate, boat label ID tags may not be present, and 'known' methods to decipher serial & model #'s are not always correct. Hull Idenification Numbers (HIN, boat versions of VIN codes) were not common or required until the early 1970's. Some adopted numbering early, FeatherCrafts, and currently are well documented. Other's like my 1960 Glastron FireFlite should follow a set numbering system, 1 in 10 don't. For no known reason, they just don't.

Just for giggles, try the EXTENSIVE library here and maybe you'll find a reference pix, for grins try the Arkansas Traveler fiberglass boats 1st... Might get lucky
