I have a rare 1967 boat that I am having a hard time finding an insurance company to underwrite.
Hagerty - J.C. Taylor and Foremost all said - NO.

Who do you use - IF your boat is over 20 years old?

Thank you, Tony

both of my boats have been older than 20 years ('87 and '95) used progressive for both. Don't know if that differs with a rare boat though

I have safeco and they just ask you what value to insure the boat for.

Thank you. I will look into those. I have been told it is either too old v(over 20 years) or they do not offer classic boat insurance.

FWIW, I'm using Geico.
Had them for two years on my 96' Glastron.

Progressive is a good company for boat insurance. Check with them. Also check with your home owners insurance (if you have home owners ins.) I have my boat on my home owners and it's good coverage and well priced.

I just insured my 1981 Sea Ray through Progressive with no problems, and its 36 years old.

BoatUS had no trouble insuring my 1986, 1999, 1997 or 1992 boats. Switched to Geico last year for the current 1992. No problem there, either.
