I have an 1988 Mercruser (GM) 3.0L.

I am looking for an off the shelf oil filter, Fram etc. to replace their Quicksilver 35-802885Q.

I have tried three online stores, all were out of stock.

Also, several sites do not sell to Maine where I live. Anyone know why?

Any info would be great, thanks,

jfb

DHP,

I have ordered OEM from each Mercury Parts Express & from Mercruserparts sites. Both were out of stock. This website will not sell to my state (Maine)???
I have already drained the oil, the use would be temporary until my maintainence is complete.

jfb

Fram PH30...... yea yall give me heck. Also you can cross to your brand (its the only part number on the top of my head). I say change regular. Im tired of this brand is better than that! Change regular. Most marine engine oils never get "dirty" THey get contaimated with acids from combustion and moisture.

Mercury marine does not build oil filters. If you like go to NAPA as Bondo said and get the sierra brand, I believe its a Wix filter.
