I don't have access to a lot of catalogs. Hoping you guys can help me. Who makes a 9.8 or 15 horse, long shaft (20-inch), outboard with electric start and remote throttle control? Two stroke or four stroke doesn't matter, I just need to find out who makes one so that I can locate a dealer.

Thanks!

Vist Honda, Evinrude, Tohatsu, Mercury, and Yamaha web sites. Those are your main choices. Specs are listed as well as a "contact us" link if you have a question. Most of the manufacturers have a "sail drive" outboard which is set up for use on a sail boat. These have long shafts (20 or 25 inch).

It looks like Tohatsu/Nissan are the only mfg that make a 9.8 full remote

Yamaha makes the t9.9 high thrust as a remote, with or without power tilt n trim.

They also make the f9.9 as a remote model.

Mercury makes at least 4 models, 15 hp and 9.9 hp, as remote steer.

Dont need remote steer as I am going to slave it to the primary motor ,can I simply not hook it up? I assume remote steer models mean remote throttle/shift as well Yam,Merc,Nissan, Tohatsu,, all equally easy to work on?? best place to mail order
