looking for bulletin details(re evinrude175hp)

I've been told by a friend that there was a bulletin/recall on evinrude 175hp engines and I think the year of the bulletin was around 91-92. It referred to the bolt/washer on the crankshaft holding the timing wheel in place. I am trying to get the full details on this bulletin. Can you help?<br />Thank you

I'll have to look it up but I think what they did was make it thicker. Can't remember why. Let ya' know.

Because the timer plate "rode up" and when it deformed the washer(got loose) it wollered out causing all manner of ignition malfunction.<br /><br />If you are not sure it was done... buy a washer(part # 314009) and install it.
