looking for help on2000 50hp. evinrude

Hi. guys.Ive got a 2000 50hp evenrude & the fuel pump is bad.What i want to do is install a fuel pump on the side & start mixing my own gas.Do any of you know the fuel
pump parts number i need ?Thanks for any help you could give me.

come on guys.I know all you older mech. have replaced a vor fuel pump with a older model pump where you would mix the fuel. I really could use the help.

Have you searched the site? I have seen the steps and parts needed posted within the last 4-6 weeks.I personally dont know,I did see it and try to remember but there is so much to learn here its hard to keep up.Yah its from the OLD guys,I,m only 60

What part of your vro is bad. Gas or oiling?

I did the same thing about a month ago that you are trying to do. Very easy swap. Got help from the local outboard shop mechanic. He took me to the dealers parts department and told them what I needed. I can't remember the year of the outboard that he said would work, but it was the fuel pump from a 48 spl. I think about a 92 model. He sold me the 2 bolts to mount the pump and the pump and gasket. He showed me which plug to remove from the side of the block. Just remove the pulse valve and install a pipe plug in that hole.
I had a bad vro pump and that's why I changed to the standard fuel pump. I have had idle problems since the change over and have not been able to determine the cause.

hard to read the receipt. Try omc #438556 for pump and 314413 for the bolts.. $97 from dealer.
