Looking for other Wellcraft 23 xl owners

I have a 1988 wellcraft nova with a bravo one drive and a big block that has been bored to a 468 and makes 521 at 5200 rpm. I am trying to get a prop on the boat and seems that the boat is just not performing to my expectations. So I am looking for other wellcraft nova 23 xl owners and would like to know what motor, how much horsepower, speed they get out of the boat, what prop you use, what your rpm is and what gear ratio your outdrive is? I know it a lot of info but I am at my witts end with this thing and starting to think I had to high of hopes for this boat. Thank you for the info

Can't speak to that, sorry. I'm all stock from '88. B1 and a 21 or 19 pitch prop is all I can tell you. I do 62 or 55 respectively but I'm always heavily loaded.

Then We can figure out what yer problem is...
