looking for photos of 97-98 Mercruiser 5.7

I am reinstalling a motor in a friends boat, I did not take the old one out & can not figure out how the wiring sits on the engine, the boat is a 98 Maxum, 5.7 260 mercruiser. 2 barrel carb, the starter relay is on t he throttloe linkage arm, I would really appreciate this if someone can help me out.<br />my email address is pe68@optonline.net<br /><br />I am not a novice in this field but each configuration I have tried has failed me. also, were does the coil mount up to the motor?<br />the engine has a thunderbolt ignition

stang,<br />I just did a 96 5.7 w/TBV ing. the coil is mounted to the back of the port (left) side head. The wiring harness on my 5.7 was very tight in the length. Seems to me it could have been made longer. Would have made inst. easier.
