Anyone know where I can find this drain? It came out of the livewell in my boat (sprung a pin hole leak). Approx 1" diameter.

Is there a reliable way to patch the hole? PVC glue? It was a pain to get out and I only want to do it once.

Thanks,
Brian

Re: Looking for PVC drain (see pic)

Had to laugh when I read your post. I just finished doing one of these today and have the bruses on my arm to prove it. Told the guy at West Marine "I only want to do this once".

This is a standard style marine drain fitting. Most any marine supply store should have one. The one I purchased from West Marine has a design improvement that helps installation. In addition to the backing nut, the flange on the drain end threads on/off as well. So the complete unit can be tightened down from either side of the drain.

Be sure to use plenty of silicone and replace the hose-clamps as well.

PS Don't try to patch/reuse this fitting. It's likely getting brittle as all the plastic / pvc ones do over time. If you search around a bit you likely can find one made out of bronze.

Thanks, any idea which hose size I need? The OD of the insert on the drain is 1-1/8" iBoats list 3/4" or 5/8" hose size?

Thanks,
Brian

These fittings are sized based on the ID of the hose they connect to. If the OD of the hose flange on your fitting is a little over an inch then this sounds like a 1" fitting ment for use with 1" ID hose.

If the thru-hull fitting for this drain is at or below the water line, its a good idea to use two hose clamps on each end.
