Hello all,

I recently bought a Bayliner 2150 ciera that has a V/P 2.3 L AQ125 (im guessing aq125b, has the red block). Now not being familiar with i/o's, i've been doing some reading online, in here and the v/p manual and trying to figure out this cooling system. I know that it is a closed cooling system (green coolant in the tank) and uses fresh water (sea water) as well. Where i get confused is there is a tube running from the heat exchanger to the exhaust manifold. Am i correct in thinking that coolant runs thru this tube from the heat exchanger to water jackets inside to mani that the sea water absorbs the heat from then expels it out thru the outdrive? Basically i am trying to figure out winterizing (since it's now getting colder here in kingston), where the 2 systems seperate. I am guessing that since the block side is coolant, that all i would need to do is run coolant thru the muffs to do therest of the system or am i totally wrong in my thinking? Anyone with some clarification please chime in.

TIA,

brAd

You are right in the purpose of the copper pipe and manifold.
Winterizing is a sticky...
