Sounds like a heck of a boat for your first. I believe the Volvo duo-prop setup is highly regarded. A 1992 boat needs to be checked CAREFULLY for rot.

I just sold my 88 Celebrity Crown Line 231 Cuddy. Had the Mercury powertrain and was an excellent boat to me. There were a few design flaws that I corrected but overall I have no complaints about the Celebrity (except that they counted the teak swim platform in the LOA for my year).
