looking up parts by old part number

I acquired a bunch of new old stock parts that I am trying to look up the most recent values and part numbers for. Most of the parts I have are Sierra and OMC, some are points and condensers, some carb rebuild kits, etc etc. I do have descriptions of some of the parts. So far I have found that I have parts for Scott Atwater, west bend, wizard/elgin

Is there a website that I can type in the old part numbers and find out the info I need?

Ifm the majority are Sierra go to your local auto parts store and get a Sierra or Prime Line marine parts catalog and you will find the conversion in the back.

Dang how outdated can these part number that I have be? I couldn't come up with much on Ishopmarine, but I still have a bunch of number to try so all is not lost yet it still may be of some help.

Re: looking up parts by old part number

I'm still having problems with the Sierra Supply part numbers, these old packages have numbers like 5084-ss and 5067 (without the "- ss"). Other numbers are like 5058, 5020-ss for example.

I also have a brand new head that I might need to keep, it looks like it might bolt up to my 1955 10hp Johnson, part number on the head says 301865 if I read it right. If I can't use it I know that should bring few bucks.

So far from what I have looked up for the OMC parts, if I play my cards right I might make a nice profit just off of those parts.

TD the ishopmarine website was very helpful for looking up the OMC part numbers. The worst thing is though that some of the old carb kits that I have (for example) they do not have the same amount of parts in them as the modern kits but my kits have the needle and seat when the other more modern kits don't. So far I have counted 61 parts, and still have more to go.

Now I'm about down to the parts that have fallen out of the package so I'm going to have fun trying to figure that mess out :(.
