Thanks to Kenner for noticing this on another thread.
I knew this new-to-me project boat had rebuilt jasper long blocks from a number of years ago. What I did not know was they put 292's in in instead of simply replacing the 250's. All this is assuming my internet research is correct:
Casting number: 93403467
Location of fuel pump: center of block aft of unused automotive motor mount location
Side plate Height: 6"
So it still has 2 jet carbs on it which means they were never upgraded when they went to 292's.
My additional research says the Mercruiser 200 had 4bbl rochester's on it.
Other than replacing the carbs (may as well upgrade to electric chokes?) what else would need to be done to mazimize this new-found displacement? Props?
