loosing lower unit grease from Sea King 6 HP

loosing lower unit grease from Sea King 6 HP. It is coming from a hole that is made into the side right above the cavatation plate. i dont know if it is an over flow or if a seal is messed up. Otherwise the motor runs well. It is a 68 model. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it leaking out of a screw hole? be more specific

Check and make sure the hole is not threaded. That is the general location of the shift linkage pivot. There should be a slot head machine screw there. DO NOT REMOVE THIS BOLT!!!! If you do you WILL be taking the lower unit (foot) apart to get everything lined back up. Ask me how I know.
