ok this is what i got, 1988 bayliner capri, has a 3.0L GM motor, 1st few times on the lake was great, then a bolt broke on the exhaust manifold At the block it self, so i had to pull the intake/exhaust manifold off, redrill and re tap the hole, replaced the gaskets, started it up, ran great, Timed it, and went out to the water, idles great, takes off great, but then after about 5-10 minutes on the water it starts to die in the water, starts to slowly idle down by itself to a very slow crawel on the water, i turned it off, which it almost didnt wanna stop running, yanked the engine cover off and it almost looked as if the carb was smoken some, let it sit in the water for about 15 minutes, started it up, started going again towards the marina and it goes for about 2 minutes and does it all over again, i had to putput to shore at a idle to get the boat back to the dock and load it back up and taker home..
other info, has a 2bbl Rochester carb, choke is a heated style with a tube running from the manifold into it, as it heats the choke turns, lower idle screws are 1.5 turns out, runs best in that placement,
anyone got sugestions???
wife is about to kick the crap out of me on this boat, she still has yet to get a ride on it this summer since i bought it and is ready to kill me over it...
