I just bought a 24 ft sailboat with a Lorad LDX-600 Depth Sounder in it. There is no manual in the boat. Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this unit? Thanks

It seems like it's at least 20 years old.
Does it not work? If so, best to get a new one.

I am no expert, but I think that unit is for use on the ocean. Pretty FA is for fathoms which is 1 fathom for every 6'

A 24' boat, I doubt your going to venture that far out, you can get by with the readout on a good chart plotter.. And check the original transducer for that old one as it probably mounts in the hull. They can fail and sink a boat

Well....it’s a Fathometer.
Built by Lear Research and Development Corp., Miami fla.

Applied for trademark in 1986, abandoned in 1993.

The address shows up for a number of different businesses. Guessing an entrepreneur and a failed business

How far out do you think you have to go to hit deep water?

The waters off North Carolina are over 5,000 ft. deep less than 20 miles offshore

Most recreational (600w) units take a dump at less than 800’
