losing power on acceleration

I had trouble all summer with my 1995 Mariner 90 losing power at wot. I put in a new fuel pump kit, new carburator kit, and new plugs and still am having problems. Today I had problems again at wot. I did some trolling with no problems and then later opened up the throttle and couldn't get no power. I squeezed the fuel bulb and had all kinds of power (for a while). I had to keep squeezing the fuel bulb to keep it going. Is it a venting problem? The boat is a 2002 and the hose from the built in tank looks like new yet. The gas cap vent seems fine. Where else would I have a venting problem?

Sounds like an air leak in your hose most likely in your fuel bulb. You should replace the bulb with a factory unit....stay away from the aftermarket ones.

just a thought, check your prop - mine came losse after hitting sand and then a very paniced reverse. scratched up the edges of the prop but for days afterward, had no power when putting the hammer down or when pulling a tuber. the prop had worked it's way loose about 3/4". - tighten it up and buffed out the edges - all was ok - just a thought - good luck
