loss of power at advanced throtle position

I have a '99 yamaha 130 salt water outboard the loses all power at one point in the throttle. At cruise about 4200 rpm's the moter just drops all power. If i move the throttle back just a little it picks up. from a dead start it will not go if the throttle is beyond the same place as it dies at cruise. Any Ideas would help. Thanks

sounds like a bad fuel pump and/or dirty carbs, could be a broken wire from the trigger assembly. all easy to check.
