Hi!<br /><br />I have a Johnson 60 -89 VRO on a 4,70 metre boat and it should go approximately 35 knots. <br /><br />With the original 17 inch propeller it went 31 knots at 5600 rpm where the overspeed limit turned on. <br /><br />I bought a ProPulse adjustable (16-20 inch) propeller and tryed with 19 inch. The boat went approximately 30 knots at 5000 rpm. With 18 inch also about 30 knots at 5200 rpm. <br /><br />Where are the 5 knots? <br /><br />I believe the engine has been rebuild. Can it be so that the engine timing has been retarded and that is why it will not give out full power?<br /><br />Is white smoke an inidication of too much fuel? I have noticed that the engine gives out white smoke. Is this normal?<br /><br />Robbi
