I have a1994 150 bp evinrude intruder, I pushed a rod thru the block got a long block and since I can only get 4300 rpms max out of it. I’ve read others post that have had same difficulties but never have seen a post with a solution. Can anyone possibly direct me to a post or idea where to start for finding the solution? I e had it at GOOD BOAT MECHANICS, lol over the past three years and 3800$ later and I have the same performance. Starts, idles shoots out the hole great, at 3/4 to full throttle there’s zero change, not sure if I’m dropping two cylinders in power pack or what. Any help would be appreciated.

Are all your linkages hooked up and traveling properly? Any chance the prop was changed or damaged?

Are all the carb butterflies opening? Are you sure your not sucking air in the fuel line? Does pumping the primer ball make any change? Fuel filter plugged? Have you hooked a little rest light or clamp on meter or timing light to confirm at throttle that each cylinder is indeed fireing?
