I have a 1991 Larsen 18.5' open bow. It has a Mercruiser 4.3 liter with a Mercarb 2 bbl. Last year it would mostly run fine but had a little hesitation at WOT. It would occasionally kind of bog down when running down the lake at WOT for a second or 2 then smooth back out. Also when shut off the carb would flood out instantly and you had to wait 10 minutes or so to restart the engine. This last winter I cleaned and rebuilt the carb and replaced the float. The motor is running better without flooding but has another issue. At WOT the RPM's are low. If I back off the throttle just a little the RPM's increase to where they should be. Anyone have insight as to what is causing this issue and how to resolve it? I am assuming I need to adjust the throttle linkage. Anyone have a link to instructions with pictures of how to adjust it?
