Seems to me that to "Check the orifices" would require the removal of the carbs. If you are going to that extent then you would be wise to do a complete and thourough cleaning of the entire carb(s).

well i have taken the bowls off cleaned the needles cleaned the seats checked the floats i really dont know how the low speed ones work i can only assume that those round mystery screws on the sides have something to do with it and the little holes behind the butterfly? any info would be greatly appericeated
i will try to clean every par i know what is

I usually poke a piece of fine wire into the tiny holes then blast cab cleaner through them and then another blast with compressed air. You may want to check the parts catalog schematic for your particular carbs, it will at least show you the location of the various jets that are in the carbs.
