Lower gear case lube.

I want to winterize my boat in the next couple of weeks and I want to use the synthetic lube. Are some brands better than others. Are there any to avoid? I think I used penzoil in the past.<br /><br />Thanks <br /><br />Pointer

while at a disavantage not knowing the unit,WHY improvise on the manufacturers advice.For example ,an older OMC Cobra drive costs $5000.00,say.When it was new they said use our ***<br />and if it fails because of the oil,we'll replace it.<br />If your drive has a cone drive as opposed to a clutch dog drive,don't improvise.<br />DHP
