Hi everyone,

On my Motor I have water leaking under the motor Cover I am not sure where, but I think that it might be coming from the lower pan Gasket.

When First purchased the boat the Trim and Tilt motor had a leak and the mechanic that fixed it had to used a lot of heat to get the pin out to lift the motor up high enough to replace the seals in the Trim and Tilt Motor. I am thinking maybe that caused some damaged to the gasket. Any ideas on how to change/repair it. Or any other thoughts on where that water might be coming from? It is the only thing I can think of, aside from that the motor runs great, but I am noticing some rust forming on the outside of the lower spark plug.

Thanks

Regards

To change that gasket, you will need to take the power head out. Not as bad of a job as it may sound. The seals that really count here are the ones where the driveshaft enters the crankcase. Those are very important.
