Lower Shift Cable, Alpha1

Hello Everyone,
Replacing lower shift cable and bellows, just a couple of extra parts in the kit, not sure where they go, any help with would be appreciated. Alpha One...can't upload pics, says too large (although they are small pictures). One part is a small plastic black piece with a center hole, clip style on one end. The other is a piece of black plastic tubing cut into a spiral, but still in one piece.

The spiral should have gone on to the outer part of the cable to protest it there is passes the exhaust pipe. The black spigot is also on the outer part and should be in the transom housing, on the inside, to again protect the cable outer from rub damage... I doubt you'll have any problems without them on...
