Lower Shift Cable Question

SEI (Alpha I Gen I)

I found that I forgot to install the plastic cable guide into the transom housing. Noticed the part lying there after the cable, boot and bell housing was installed. Ooops!:facepalm:

Looking through the instructions I could not find any information about it.

Was wondering if I could install it from the inside so I don't have to remove the cable guide and boot?

Well I decided to take it apart.

Removed shift cable bellows and cable and installed the plastic outer cable guide in the transom from the aft side, under the bellows. Maybe someone will find this useful.

Don't forget to snap the new outer cable guide into the transom!!
