Hey everyone!
Got a couple of questions for some experienced aluminum tin bashers here.. I've recently acquired a 2016 Alumacraft 205, which has unfortunately met the the hard surface of the boat ramp while not being properly locked on the winch.
Now I'm not afraid to take on this challenge as I have many years working with aluminum on aircraft, but i'm not a professional marine Sheetmetal tech here.. I'm looking for some advice on how to go about this project to straighten out the aluminum a little better, and also if this has compromised the transom core where it will all need to be removed and replaced? And for the sake of getting most of the aluminum straitened proper, would it be advisable to take the whole exterior Sheetmetal off to get to most of the damage?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... That's certainly on odd Smash,.....
Appears to be caved in right 'bout where I'd expect to see the bottom of the transom wood, inside,......

Do you weld aluminum,..?? some boat seams have a sealer that kills any chance of a good clean weld,....

What can be seen/ accessed from the inside,..??
With alota anealin', ya might be able to beat it out to functional from the inside,....

Just don't go into this with a brand new "Perfect" condition expectation,.....
It'll make the job much worse, with no real payback,.....

ouch

the bottom of the hull is wrinkled. that will severely affect performance

most likely you will need to pull the motor/drive
remove rivets from between the seams
straighten out the transom
straighten out the bottom
re-seal and re-rivet the bits.

however I would be calling the insurance company,
