So I went and looked at a Pontoon (1st boat) for a buddy and boat (Dealer / Used) over all in really good shape and running great for a month and suddenly he has issues and is told Lower unit is the problem and upon removal is told it is trashed. He says he can't seem to find a used replacement anywhere which I find hard to fathom and new apparently $2000 which would have me believing he would be better off to just go find another used Johnson motor that would allow you to re-use shifter / cables regardless of how good this original motor runs. Any suggestions??
