Lower unit for parts 71 60hp

Would $200 be a good price for a lower unit being used for internal parts(Gears,shaft,shift solenoids, mabye a water pump etc)? The bent skeg is not big deal cuz my outer housing is fine. ebaylink <br /><br />Has any one boughts parts from the rerunparts guy? good/bad/indifferent?? Thanks<br /><br />K

That would be a good price, as long as all the parts in it are OK. <br /><br />I don't have any experience with that seller. His feedback should be your guide in that area.

If you need one part off that gearcase, and were it available, $200.00 would'nt buy it. There has to be some good parts in there. That electric shift cable when available was over a $100.00. It depend's on how long you want to keep you engine running. I have been running my 1972, 125 ove 20 years doing things like that.
