Lower unit identification

I've got this "like new" silver grey lower unit housing which I believe to be a Chrysler/Force simply because it has the ring with bolts to hold in the propshaft assembly. I don't have a clue what it may be but would like help in identifying.<br />I don't know much about these and have nothing to reference it to. I can tell you that it doesn't look like the old Merc's or "Johnnyrudes" that I'm familiar with. The number molded in it is 1682-821306-C1 and it is difficult to read so instead of it being a -C1 it could possibly be a -0 or even a -01.... can't reallly tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those look like Merc casting numbers, ergo the C. So it's either a Mercury housing or a Force housing from when Merc made them in the 1990s.
