Bt Doctur Supreme Mariner Joined Aug 29, 2004 Messages 19,363 Jun 26, 2009 #4 Re: Lower Unit Interchangeable ? No, the lower has to come down. Unless you`ve owned it since day one theres a chance the drive could have been changed or the newer gearset installed in a older case.
