getting ready for warmer wx, i drained lower unit and it definitely had water in it. I made a pressure tester and the unit held pressure (14lb) for over on hour, turned drive and prop shafts, and shifted gears, still had no pressure loss. this is a 1987 48 SPL i didn't drop the unit yet. the only thing changed last year were new drive shaft seals and the drain/fill screws, old ones with slotted heads with o-rings were changed to alien heads with white plastic washers. anyone with ideas about where water i getting in?

might get your hands on a mityvac and do a vacuum test -- see if it holds. Sure it's not residual water from a prior problem?

Oldboat1 might be right, I had some water in my johnson when I first got it, pressure tested it and it worked great. Just give it a good water test, soak it in a bucket of water for a few days? Check the oil? Im not sure but thats what id do.
