Lower unit oil reservoir on Alpha Gen 1

Has anyone done this?,.. I like having a 'visual' on my oil level,... Only problem,... I have a PRISTINE SR 280 with ZERO holes in the transom,... I would hate to drill a hole,... although above the water line.
Opinions Welcome.

It will work, this is the same setup Merc started to use before changing the transom plate to accommodate the lube bottle. Appears to just be missing the bracket to hold the line. There has been other threads of installing one, but I know of none which have come back with what they did
