Lower Unit PROBLEM!

I had disconnected the shift linkage but the lower end will not come out I've called the local shop with the most experience and just said i need to disconnect the linkage bolts but the damn thing wont come out. please help i cant aford to send it to a shop right now.


motor: 1974 Johnson 6hp - 6R74C

Try holding the prop steady while you turn the flywheel a little in each direction. The gearcase should be in gear.
