Lower unit problem

I'm trying to remove the bearing carrier of a separate lower unit I bought and exchange it with one I have, but can't seem to get it off... any ideas/info?

How far have you gotten?
The bolts come out and then there is a piece of metal(2) in a half moon shape that holds the carrier in place.
You need to push the carrier IN to loosen the pressure on the moons.Do that and the moons come out and the carrier will follow.
You might need to install a puller.2 pieces of 1/4(I think) all thread about 10in long.Cobble it to a gear puller.J

What are you trying to fix?

I ended up just switching over another lower unit so I didnt hav to go through all that
