I just put a new waterpump in my 1994 50 hp johnson 2 stroke and it leaks water out the front of the lower unit. I took it apart and reassembled it a few times and it never seems to get better. Is this normal? Or do i have something wrong.

That is a pretty big tell-tale you have there.
From what I can see, it looks like the housings are not pulled togeather, is there a gap between the exhaust housing and the lower unit?
A slight leak is not uncommon between the two housings, but yours looks a little excessive.

Its pulled up tight but there seems to be alot of wiggle room when drawing it up. Im wondering if it isnt drawing up right and not sealing the port that goes up to the power head.

The water you see has already been through the engine, might even feel warm if the engine is warmed up, and is being exhausted down the exhaust housing. Is there anything stuck between the housing, a chunk of paint, or maybe some carbon?
The front of the housing isn't damaged from prying on it is it?
