I hope someone can help me. My lower unit has gotten cracked and it worrys me. It seen to be running ok,but it is getting water in the gear oil. this is on a force 120HP. Dual exhaust. I have a 90HP with a blown power head and good lower unit. They are both 1992 models. The 90HP has single exhaust with know threw the prop exhaust. They look like they will bolt up ok, but I did not know about the exhaust set up.
If any body can shed any light on this subject I would be greatly Thank Full.
I wrote before and did not get any replies. I think I did not give any description. The water intakes on the 90HP are lower then on my 120HP.

Re: Lower unit

Bolt it up and give it a try. It might not have the full 120 ponies without the dual exhaust, but it should still go.

Re: Lower unit

Hi guys, Thanks for the input. Motors are stored for winter at the lake about 2hrs away. I was also thinking about trying it. I was hoping someone had already tryed it and could tell me how it worked out. Not to worryed about not getting all the ponies working. thanks again. Blair
