I have decided to upgrade to a bigger boat, but one of my requirements is that it must fit in my garage (don't want to pay for a slip). The Searays that I am looking at are just at my garage height elevation (80"). Is there any way to lower the boat on the trailer, or lower the trailer that is feasible (realistic)? I need to hear some options to see how low I can go!!!

Boy, I must have a "boat problem"!!!!!

you could reposition the axle to the top of the leaf springs, that will drop about 2 to 3" for you.you can also go smaller on the tires and wheels, concidering the weight recommendations,or a lower profile tire.

If you have bunks you can spread them apart if you have the clearence between the bottom of the hull & axle.

A more drastic move but one that would work is to cut out some troughs in the garage floor for the trailer tires to drop into. They can always be filled in later. If you do this provide for drainage.

Txboatboy, What is actually hitting on the garage door? I assume it is your windshield. What kind of garage door do you have, rollup?. What size boat do you have and how much room do you need, 1 inch, 6 inches?
