Lowrance elite 4 dsi

Anybody have a Lowrnace Elite 4 DSI? Need some info on useability. I also want to know if I can have 1 transducer mounted on the outside of hull, and have wires for display running to 2 different locations on the boat. I have an aft engine steer and a fishing deck. I want to take the unit from one position to another without having to drag cable with it. So I can plug it in and drive. Then unplug and move to fishing deck and plug back in.

If it is like the Elite 5 then the answer is no because of the way the power/transducer cable is made.
