Lowrance LCX-16c intermittent operation

My chartplotter runs fine and then without warning it shuts off for a few seconds and then after a delay of anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds it re starts on its own back to the initial first screen. Occasionally I have to restart it.

Any thoughts as to why this might happen? It is a bit disconcerting to say the least.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... I guess I'd start by inspectin' both the Power feed, 'n Grounds for any kinda corrosion goin' on,...

Sometimes just that Shake, 'n Wiggle is enough to renew a clean metal to metal connection,....
A spray of Fluid Film will keep the Corrosion away,...
