LU swap 1987 70hp to a 1991 70hp

Well now that I bough it, let me ask. Can I use a LU from a 1987 70hp Johnson on a 1991 70hp Johnson? Price was to good to let go so I bought it before checking. Nothing wrong with the LU on my 1991, just picked this up as a spare. Thanks

very well spent, IF you ever need it. change the fluid just in case there is water in it.
