Lub for starter

I have disassembled the starter in my Volvo Penta because I got water into it.

What type of grease should I use to lubricate the starter when reassembling it?

Yeah, pretty much any heavy grease.

Put a dab in the support roller bearing at the end on the housing and maybe a very light coating on the shaft to protect against any corrosion from long lay-ups.
