lube for rod and main bearings

Seloc manual says to use a gasoline soluable grease when installing rod and
main bearings. What grease/lube do you recommend?

A special "Needle bearing assembly lubricant" or simply some Vasoline (petroleum jelly). Anything that will provide adequate lubrication at start-up AND that will dissolve with gasoline.
